What a Visit With Dr. Sharma Looks Like
Many patients come to Dr. Sharma after a difficult diagnosis, a raised PSA report, or advice for surgery they are not sure about. He spends the first consultation understanding the full picture. That means your reports, your scans, and what matters to you, instead of rushing into discussing treatment options right away.
If you are weighing open surgery against a robotic option, he will walk you through what each choice means for your recovery. The same goes if you simply want a second opinion before a big decision.

Training That Goes Beyond Certification
A short course on a robotic system is not the same as being trained to operate one. Dr. Sharma completed the Vattikuti Fellowship, a structured program built specifically to train surgeons in robotic technique, and holds certification from Intuitive, Sunnyvale, California, the company that builds the da Vinci system.
His kidney transplant training took place at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, one of India's highest-volume transplant centers, where surgeons see the full range of donor and recipient cases, including the complex ones.
He holds an MBBS, an MS in General Surgery, and a DrNB in Genito-Urinary Surgery, and is fluent in Hindi, English, Malayalam, and Marathi.
Beyond the Operating Room
Dr. Sharma is the author of "Never Again," a book on what happens after a kidney stone is removed.
The idea grew out of a pattern he kept noticing: patients treated for one stone would come back with another, because treatment got all the attention and prevention got none. The book is his answer to that gap.
